€ 215.8 Million
May 10, 2022
On May 10, 2022, Joe and Jess Thwaite became the greatest lottery winners in UK when they scooped the amazing EuroMillions jackpot of 215.8 Million euros! This victory came after 7 rollovers without a winner. Joe and Jess had been playing whenever the jackpot was high enough, for seven years now (since Jess’ dad passed away – he was a lottery fan who dreamt of winning big one day!).
At first Joe thought they had scooped 215,800 and not 215.8 million! He soon realized how wrong he had been. He woke up before his wife did and decided to let her sleep. When she finally woke up (20 minutes later), he told her, “I have a secret to tell you.”
He quickly told her all about their incredible victory, but she didn’t believe him. She thought there must have been a mistake and they couldn’t have won such an incredible jackpot. As soon as the lottery office opened, Joe called in to inquire about the win and discovered that they were, indeed, the new lucky EuroMillions winners!
